Cultural Programme by Overseas Devotees

Sri Sathya Sai Education group of Malaysia came up with a Socio-value-oriented drama entitled “Bridges & Walls” on this Guru Poornima weekend this evening here in Prasanthi Nilayam. The Malaysian presentation was followed by a US Choir of devotional hymns. Both the programmes were organized on the sidelines of a 3-day Sri Sathya Sai Educational Conference, got underway in the Poornachandra Auditorium this morning.

The drama, a frenzied fantasy, as name suggests, speaks about a community with twin blocks, always at loggerheads. Living amidst negativity, tension and fights, both internal and societal, the drama depicts the living-reality of the present generation that lacks moral, ethical and spiritual values.

Portraying societal tamasha with much of hysterical passions, parading Sathya Sai teachings aplenty, the presentation with a humorous, emotional touch, at times with volatile scenes, highlights the essential importance of imbibing Sri Sathya Sai Education as a tool of transformation.

The world outside is a mere reflection of what is inside and one has to turn within focusing on the Inner Sai. The myth of ego, arrogance, ignorance, hatred and violence melts away when one brings the light of Sai within, breaking walls, building bridges with The Inner Sai.

The US Choir followed next. Coming up with a set of newly composed hymns, the US group then set the waning twilight with the Sai Fire Of Love crooning a stream of devotionals at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet.

All the songs were composed afresh at Bhagawan’s specific personal instance over eight years ago, in Prasanthi Nilayam. Breaking the walls, bridging with the Inner Sai, the troupe of men and women in blue scarves rendered added lustre to the evening august assembly, soaking themselves in Prasanthi’s everlasting bliss.

Some of the hymns for the evening were: Bounless Love…Boundless Love…, Let’s Adore The Ever Living God…, Sing For Joy In The Lord Oh Righteous One…, Sing Hallelujah To The Lord…,  Oh Thy Glory Rapture Sweet… etc.

Indeed it turned out to be a glorious evening of His Glory Rapture Sweet, as sung by the US group.

Bhajans continued and ended with Mangala Arathi at 1845 hrs.
