A two day conference of the State Coordinators and District Presidents of the All India Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation was conducted at the Poorna Chandra Hall in Prashantinilayam on 28th and 29th September 2013. In addition to 504 delegates representing twenty different State Units of the Seva Organisation , the attendees included several members of the Central Trust,present and past vice chancellors of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning and several dignitaries from the Ashram.
While laying out and emphasizing the roles that the office bearers of the Seva Organisation should play in the furtherance of the Sai mission of “Transforming Lives to Transform the World”,The All India President Mr V.Srinivasan indicated that,in commemorating Baba’s 90th birthday and the Golden Jubilee of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation, three national projects ,in line with the United Nation’s Millennium Devolpment Goals will be undertaken by the organization in the SSSVIP(Sri Sathya Sai Village Integration Program) adopted vilages.
1. A National Nutrition Programme to alleviate the problems of Malnutrition in Pregnant Women, Lactating Mothers, Infants and Children.
2. A National Vocational Training Programme empowering village youth with multiple skills
3. A National Disaster Management Training to village youth in Rescue, Relief, Rehabilitation and Relocation to be given to youngsters particularly from villages.
The All India President also indicated that in respect of the 90th Birthday of Baba , several programmes will be implemented at city , town and village Level. These will be through symposia, colloquium, seminar, concerts, rural tribal music, burra kathas, harikathas.
