Athi Rudra Maha Yagna, 2015, - Day 2

The second day’s events of Athi Rudra Maha Yagna, Brindavan, Whitfield, Bengaluru, commenced with Vedic chanting and the naming of the Lingam as ‘Trayeeshwara’, signifying Brahma, Vishnu & Maheshwara. The sacred fire for the eleven Homas was generated in the traditional manner by the priests, which is the Agni Madanam.
Along with the chanting of the Rudram, the fire was transferred to all the eleven Homa kundams. Rudra Homa and Sai Gayathri Homa were performed.
The evening session was addressed by Swami Anubhavananda, who explained aspects of the scriptures and their application in day to day life in a simple and easy to understand manner. He said that programs such as this were meant for the spiritual awakening of everyone.
After the talk, the renowned musician Sri Kadiri Gopalnath offered a feast of classical music on the Saxophone consisting of Bhajan tunes and classical ragas.
Excerpts from Bhagawan’s discourses at the Athi Rudra Maha Yagna of 2006 were played at the close of the day’s program.
