KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONS (Evening Session)
Dr. Sai Giridhar Sai Ram from the Institute Of Sathya Sai Education, Prasanthi Nilayam delivered a lucid talk on the 'Love' principle of Bhagawan Sri Krishna this evening, on the auspicious Sri Krishna Janmashtami occasion here, in Prasanthi Nilayam. Bringing beautiful anecdotes from the life of the Avatar in Dwapara, Dr. Sai Giridhar, quoting Bhagawan from His Divine discourses, served pointers of enlightenment much to the delight of the august assembly on the auspicious occasion. Anecdotes included the story of Mother Yasoda's in vain attempt to tie her prankster son with a rope, which finally resulted in her absolute surrender, 'allowing' Krishna HimSelf to do fulfill her wish. The pointer here was to relinquish Mamakaram and Ahamkaram. How Bhagawan enlightened on the first stanza of the song celestial Bhagavad Gita was also explained lucidly by the speaker. He said, when a child is born, 'it' is serene, unsullied with a pure 'Godly' mind which is equivalent to Dharmakshetra. As the child grows 'it' gets polluted, turning into a Kurukshetra. The epic Mahabharata battle of Kurukshetra signifies the human life, said the speaker.
Bhagawan's Divine discourse followed next, wherein Bhagawan brought in beautiful anecdotes from His sojourn as Sri Krishna, also touching upon some of the disparities in style of functioning of the two preceding Avatars, Sri Rama and Sri Krishna. Bhagawan brought His Divine discourse to a close singing the bhajan, Govinda Krishna Jai...Gopala Krishna Jai.
Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
