CHINESE NEW YEAR DAY CELEBRATIONS – DAY 2
The Second day - Chinese New Year Celebrations began with the chanting of the Da Bei Zou (Great Compassionate) Mantra by the Devotees from Jakarta.
This was followed by a talk by Bro Usli, who is a senior office bearer of SSIO Indonesia of his journey to SAI. Bro Usli related the story of how, when he was young, he suffered from kidney problem. His mother prayed fervently to Goddess of Mercy (Mother Kuan Yin) and also taught him to pray. He surrendered to God and was cured.
He later came to know about the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba through a Dharma Class conducted in a Sai Centre. Baba's teachings gave him the answer to all of the spiritual questions that he had. Then he realized that Mother Kuan and Baba are one and the same.
The next item was a Harmonica presentation by two Teenage Sai youth, who had earlier performed with the adults. The audience gave full encouragement and support by clapping along as they played on Harmonica.
Eleven Ladies from Indonesia who were dressed colorfully, then presented three lively Chinese New Year songs.
The International Bhajan then proceeded with melodious Chinese Bhajan Songs. The Mangala Arati then marked the end of the proceedings of the Chinese New Year Celebrations and today's programme.
