IT IS DELHI, AFTER MUMBAI !
After Mumbai, it was the turn of Delhi to celebrate the Ascension through a Musical Concert. Presenting an evening of devotional music and attended by the elite in the capital, Ravi Nasery, the acclaimed Ghazal and Bhajan singer, mesmerised the audience at the Sri Sathya Sai International Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi on 4th May, 2014.
Arranged by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization Delhi NCR ,the function was organised to commemorate the third anniversary of the Mahasamadhi of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Sh. Raviraj Nasery started the concert with a melodious Ganesh Bhajan, which he followed with the soulful Guru Bhajan ‘Sakshaat Parabramha Sai’. Sh. Nasery continued with several very popular Sai Bhajans including a number of own devotional compositions including ‘Tera Naam Ek Sahaara’. On requests of the audience he sang a composition dedicated to Baba's Mahasamadhi. Since the audience included several prominent devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba, Sh. Raviraj sang the popular Shirdi Sai Bhajan– ‘Mukh Dharshan’.
Sh. Nasery’s music, interspersed with narrations of his soul stirring, personal experiences with Sri Sathya Sai Baba made the evening most poignant. The performance reached its crescendo when he sang ‘Prem Mudit Mana Se Kaho’ a bhajan that was particularly dear to Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba that He often sang at the end of His discourses.
The evening concluded with offering of the Mangala Aarthi.
