Bhagawan has entrusted the responsibility of shaping the young mind to Balavikas Gurus. He said that this year we are focusing on expanding the Balavikas movement multi-fold and it is the responsibility of Alumni and the Gurus to make efforts in this direction. A compendium on Sri Sathya Sai Balavikas was released on this occasion by the All India President, Sri Nimish Pandya and Sri Vijay Bhaskar, Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. Sri H Deleep Singh (IAS), Commissioner of Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Manipur felicitated the Balavikas Alumni, who had excelled in their respective States.
A poignant and inspiring drama, “Swami Vivekananda, the Patriot Saint of India was presented by Sri Sathya Sai Balavikas, Delhi-NCR. The drama opens with Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa meeting Narendranath Datta or Naren as he was called by his Guru Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. At first Naren does not recognize his Guru, and even goes to the extent of thinking that he was a mad person. When Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa points to the idol of Goddess Kali and offers him Prasadam, Naren retorts by saying that he does not believe in idol worship. When Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa compares him to Saptarishis, he could only derisively criticize his Guru. It was only later after subsequent meetings; he recognizes the value of his Guru and surrenders to him. When Naren asks Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa – “have you seen God”, he replies not only has he seen God, but can show God to him. He was flabbergasted by this statement of Sri Sri Paramahamsa. After the demise of his Guru, Sri Vivekananda tours the length and breadth of the country and even goes to America to address the Parliament of Religions, where his speech was well received with a standing ovation. The drama ends on a high note when Sri Vivekananda declares “When I walk, breath, talk, I feel India is walking, breathing and talking”.
Bhajans by Balavikas alumni followed next and the session ended with Mangala Arati.
