Holi at Prashantinilayam-Second Day of Festivities:

Accomplished Hindustani vocalist Dr. Krishna Kumar Mishra & troupe presented a vibrant program today on the second and final day of the Holi celebrations at Prasanthi Nilayam.

Singing for an hour presenting eight compositions that included that of Kabir Das and Tulsi Das, Dr. Mishra concluded with a Bhojpuri folk number that rose the tempo matching with the holistic excitement of the boisterous festivity.

The singer was accompanied by a host of musicians playing various instruments.

Earlier, devotees from the state took out a Palanquin Procession in the morning celebrating the occasion in traditional, colourful style. The procession that was marked with a riot of colours was attended by hundreds of devotees from the twin states camping in Prasanthi Nilayam.
