Anantapur Water Project Teaching Case Launched

The teaching case titled "Sri Sathya Sai Water Project-Anantapur Water Project-Partnering for MDG" was launched   at the Tamasek Foundation Water Leadership Executive Program at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore,Singapore.The teaching case  was written by the staff and students of the School of Business Management and the Department of Chemistry of the Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning.

The case  was taught to a group of high profile Government officers and Executives from  several Asian countries by Professor A.Anantharaman of the School of Business Management,Accounting and Finance on Tuesday the 11th October at 9.00 A.M at the  premises of NUS at Singapore.The case ,which will now be used by universities all over the world, to teach  Water Management Executives , has the following  pedagogical objective. 

(1)  How has this project provided a different kind of model for ameliorating and providing a community need? 

(2)  By all accounts this project met the highest standards of efficiency. How was that specifically achieved? 

(3)  Has this Project helped in creating a new water ethic? 

(4)  When Governments fail, NGO's step in. Is that the right thing to happen? Don't the Governments have a primary role in     providing this basic amenity? 

(5)  How can NGO's play a role in reaching the millennium development goals.
