GURU POURNIMA EVENING PROGRAM AT PRASANTHI NILAYAM - DAY 2
Avatars and their Glory are not bound by cultural and national borders. They belong to the entire creation and thus every culture has its own stake and style in depicting Avataric Life stories.
Even as Guru Pournima celebrations continue, Balvikas children and Mahilas (women) from Indonesia presented this evening the most enchanting story of 'Little Krishna' in a colourful dance drama at Prasanthi Nilayam.
The depiction in Balinese style was interlaced with colourful dance accompanied by songs illustrating the beauty of Little Krishna's story, presented in short segments with narrations. Right from the birth of the Avatar to the Kaliyamardana episode were depicted in the short presentation of 40 minutes.
Earlier, the programme commenced at 1700 hrs. with a traditional Balinese musical offering by women devotees from Indonesia. Their singing may have been alien to the assembled devotees except for the intermittent repetition of "SaiRam" but every one present a foretaste of the typical Indonesian Discipline and Devotion .
Guru Pournima 2014 in Prasanthi Nilayam will have its concluding offering tomorrow with a devotional musical evening by the devotees from Russian speaking countries.
