Presenting a lofty theme of absolute surrender to Godhood, students of Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School, Prasanthi Nilayam enacted a musical dance drama entitled ‘Mera Jeevan Teri Sharan’, My Life at Your Feet, this evening here in Prasanthi Nilayam. Illustrating an uncle-nephew duo with different beliefs, the presentation emphasized the essential truth that God should be the first and foremost choice in man’s life and not to be relegated to a second spot.
The play also included there were scenes from epics Ramayana and Mahabharata.
When squarely blamed by the Pandavas, out of sadness and frustration, for the ‘lifeless’ child born for the widow Uttara, Krishna stood nonchalant, subsequently bringing life into the lifeless child. Now being praised by the Pandavas, calling Him Vamsodharaka, Krishna remains unaffected, telling the Pandavas that when Abhimanyus was killed in the battlefield, He was blamed as Vamsnaashi…and now when He is getting accolades as Vamsodharaka…praise and blame does not affect Him…as He ever remains as Krishna Himself!
The Ramayana scene, showing Vibheeshana’s surrender to Lord Rama, was a poignant reminder to the simple Truth that whoever surrenders to the Lord will ever be taken care of, now and forever.
This evening’s presentation marked the end of the ‘week-long’ Sports & Cultural Festival began on January 11, with the Sports & Cultural Meet.
