The Centre will also conduct advanced studies in Management, Economics, Leadership and Human Values, Philosophy and Indian Culture.
The centre has three fold objectives:
- To promote the value systems espoused by Baba in the field of Science, Business Management, Economics, Education through thought-based and empirical research.
- To establish a Think-Tank consisting of eminent personalities – both academics, scientists and practitioners, to pursue inter-disciplinary research.
To establish and pursue collaborative relationships with other like-minded, reputed national and international institutions, and encourage faculty and researcher dialogue and collaboration in the Centre’s fields of activity.
The Vice Chancellor in his speech traced the genesis of the Centre, quoting several interactions he had with Baba on the Centre. The Chancellor, in his concluding speech, hoped that the sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning will blaze a new trail by combining Scientific Research with Ethics and Social Relevance.
