Parthy Yathra by the devotees of SSSSO,  Tiruvallur District, Tamilnadu-Day 1

Devotees from the Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu have come on a two-day Parthi Yatra. The devotees of this district are chanting Vedas and singing Bhajans both in the morning and evening sessions in Sai Kulwant Hall. On the evening of 17th February 2017, the programme began with Veda chanting, after which a brief overview of the activities of the district was presented to the audience. This included reminiscences of Bhagawan’s visit and some events connected to it.

The special programme for the evening was a Carnatic classical recital as well as mellifluous Bhajans by renowned Carnatic classical vocalist and playback singer Sri Sriram Parthasarathy. A disciple of Neyveli Santhanagopalan, he is also a talented Veena player.  He has also recorded many film songs as well for many veteran music directors like IIayaraja, A.R. Rahman, Vidyasagar, Harris Jayaraj and Deva. He was accompanied by his father and initial Guru Sri Parathasarathy on Veena. Sri Sriram Parthasarathy enthralled the devotees beginning with a Tamil Carnatic classical song “Charana Kamalam Adainthen, Guruvin Charana Kamalam Adainthen”. His next song was a Kriti composed by illustrious Muthuswami Dikshitar. Sri Sriram Parthasarathy said that since Swami is Siva Shakti Swarupa, this song is dedicated to Him “Ardhanareeswaram”. “Rama Nannu Brovara” was followed by Bhajans “Arja Suno Parama Kripalu”, Antaranga Sai Anathanatha Sai”, “Om Namah Sivaya, Om Namah Sivaya”. He ended his beautiful performance with a classical song “Muralidhara Gopala Mukunda Sri Vaikuntha”. The proceedings of the evening concluded with felicitation of the artistes, Bhajans, distribution of Prasadam and Mangala Arati.
