Holy Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations got off to a ceremonial start this morning with a musical offering by the students of SSSIHL here, in Prasanthi Nilayam. The presentation, rich with Ganesha theme, was a mix of devotionals in Telugu and Hindi, singing paeans to the Primal Deity. Students from the Higher Secondary School spiced up the session, coming up with a dance offering. As a set tradition, Prasanthi Nilayam celebrates the festivity every year for 3-days, with scores of Ganeshas join an impressive immersion procession in the third evening.
In the evening, Sri Prasad Rao, Secretary, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust and Prof Anil Kumar Kamaraju spoke on the innate significance of the grand festivity, as professed by Bhagawan. Bhagawan’s Divine discourse followed next, aired on the public address system.
Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
