SSSIHMS Whitefield celebrated its 13th anniversary at Kulwant Hall today,The
1 hour 30 minute program highlighted reflections on Swami's hospital through speeches, burra katha and a short video production entitled "Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya".
Dr Swarna Bharadwaj, Director, SSSIHMS Whitefield gave a brief report of the activitites at the hospital over the past year, demonstrating how the hospital was gaining greater recognition as a center of excellence in wider circles. Dr Prayaag Kini spoke of how being a doctor at the hospital is a great pride, and spoke with great passion about how working here was a dream come true to a doctor. Preetha Selvakumar spoke of the nursing school, and how students that passed through these portals carried forward the message of service seamlessly into their daily lives.
This was followed by a Burrakatha by employees that was themed around the hospital.This was followed by a video show which showcased the Hospital facilities through a journey made by 14 year old Shreya Dutta, a child with a hole in the heart, to the hospital.The hospital did not just heal her heart, but taught her that this gift must be passed on others. When asked what she wanted to do in life,little Shreya,who travelled all the way from Siliguri in Assam for the treatment,said " I want to return.......as a Doctor...........to heal others,with Love......like the way I was treated"
