Natyanjali by Kalaimamani Madhavapeddi Murthy

Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning is having “Second in series of a three day International Conference on Frontiers in Nano Science, Technology and Applications” from December 20 to December 22, 2014,  at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Prasanthi Nilayam. 

 

Being a part of the International Conference, after the Veda Chanting at 16 30 Hrs, this evening,  a renowned Kuchipudi Exponent, an Artistic Director from the Siva Foundation, Chennai, Kalamamani Sri Madhavapeddi Murthy offered a devotional dance presentation titled “Natyanjali” at Sai Kulwanth Hall from 17 15 Hrs.  

 

Sri Murthy is the son of Late Madhavapeddi Satyam, a noted play back singer from Andhra Pradesh.  He learnt Kuchipudi for more than 20 years under Tutelage of Guru Dr Vempati Chinna Satyam, Founder Director, Kuchipudi Art Academy, Chennai.

 

Sri Murthy has visited numerous countries for the performances, demonstrations and workshops.  The Government of Tamilnadu has appointed him as the member of Tamilnadu Eyal Isai Nataka Mandram and he is also empanelled artist in the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).  A recipient of the Prestigious Kalaimamani Award from Govt of Tamilnadu, Mr Murthy has also been honored with meritorious & various valuable awards from India and Abroad.

 

The Kuchipudi dances offered by Mr Murthy in praise of Lord Ganesa…  came first and followed by Kurai Onrum Illai …  which was witnessed for expressing his abundant thanks to Swami.  Then next dance was performed over a brass plate on the racy beats of Taraana, which was composed by Pandit Ravishankar.  After the next dance for the song the Ten Avathaars of Mahavishnu-Dasavatharam,   he performed his last dance for the song offered at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan, Om Sai Ram…. 

 

The Audience in the Kulwanth hall has applauded for the wonderful performance by Kuchipudi Dance Artist Kalaimamani Sri Madhavapeddi Murthy, this evening.

 

The Artist was honored for his performance.

 

After a couple of Bhajans, Bhagawan Baba’s Prema Muditha..  was played in the Audio system.  The distribution of Prasadam & Mangala Arati have marked the end of today’s programme at 18 30 Hrs.
