Sri Sathya Sai Organisation Provides Relief to Earthquake Victims in Sikkim
The Sri Sathya Sai Organisation among its multifarious initiatives such as rural service, free medical camps, values-based education, tertiary hospital care, and spiritual activities also helps in disaster relief. Volunteers of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation have provided relief to victims of the earthquake in Gujarat, the tsunami in Tamil Nadu, and the flood in Orissa. Consistent with Bhagawan's message of Love and Service, these volunteers are currently providing relief to victims of the earthquake that hit Sikkim on September 18, 2011.
The major earthquake which recently struck Sikkim has reportedly caused heavy loss of life and property. In response to the damage caused in the Northern part of the state and the need for rescue, eleven members of the Disaster Management Team of the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation have left for Dzongu in the Northern part of the state to carry out a rescue operation. Another batch of volunteers will leave by tomorrow with relief materials for the survivors.
