Sri Sathya Sai Aradhana Mahothsavam

Indian Classical Music continued its 'Soul Dance' singing for Sai at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam. Continuing from the morning's "Pancharatna Aradhana", noted violinist Ms Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi presented a 'Violin Kutchery' this evening here in Prasanthi Nilayam as part of the one day “Sri Sathya Sai Aradhana Mahothsavam”.  Ms Vijayalakshmi is the daughter of illustrious Violin maestro Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman.

Beginning her Aradhana with a Ganesha 'vocal' Prarthana, 'Vakratundamahakayam...' the blessed artist with her familiar instrumental tool produced some scintillating ragas with interesting tonal variations, immersing the audience in the silent golden beauty of Violin Nadopasana. Some of the numbers for the evening were "Maha Ganapathim Manasa Smaraami...", "Nagumo Mu..." with a scintillating Thillana insertion. Ms Vijayalakshmi ended her concert with a vocal bhajan, "Sai Bhajana Binaa Sukha Shanthi Nahi...".
