The Maha Vishnu Sahasranamam chanting took place at Poorna Chandra Auditorium from 1030 Hrs to 1130 Hrs.
At 1400 Hrs, Narayaneeya Paarayanam was inaugurated by Hon’ble Justice Ravindran of High Court, Kerala.
Around 200 persons including the Cardiac operated Patients and their families are in Prasanthi Nilayam to offer their Gratitude to Swamy, for getting free treatment in Swamy’s hospitals.
In the Evening session, Veda Chanting commenced at 1630 Hrs by the Veda Group of Kerala Devotees. Sri Prabhakaran, State Vice President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva ORganisations, Kerala has introduced the sessions of the day.
The first speaker was Hon’ble Justice Sri Ravindran of the Kerala High court. He said that he felt humble because it was his first visit to Prasanthi Nilayam and he was speaking at a venue, where great scholars have spoken. He explained that in these days of great turmoil, we should propagate Swami’s teachings for peace and harmony in the world.
The next speaker was Advocate Sri Govinda Bharathan, who chanted the sloka, Sada Sath Swaroopam and explained how the Sath Chith Ananda took human form because of the desire of the devotees. He explained how he came to Prasanthi Nilayam around 50 years ago and had the first Darshan of Swami. He explained how in Kerala, Mahabali visits his people during Onam time. But Swamy changed the whole scenario and has made Mahabalai comes to Prasanthi Nilayam where all Malayalis gathered together.
The Next speaker was Sri Haridas, a Scholar on Narayanneyam. He said Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri the author of Narayaneeyam, was in fact reincarnation of Sage Veda Vyasa, because Sri Krishna had commanded him to condense the 18000 verses of Bhagavatham into 1000 slokas. That is how Narayaneeyam was written.
Next Dr Anandamohan State Co-ordinator, Medical wing of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Kerala explained the working of the Sai Rehabilitation programme, which takes care of nearly 3000 patients who have undergone Heart surgeries in Swami’s Super Speciality Hospitals.
This was followed by A Musical Programme by Sri Vishnu Bhat, who was accompanied by Sri Vishnu-Vocal, Sri Anoop Bhaskar-Violin, Sri Unnikrishnan-Mridangam and Sri Rajiv Gopal – Mukhar sankh.
Bhajan continued and with the Mangala Arathi next has marked the end of the proceedings of the day at 1830 hrs.
