The three-day Sathya Sai International World Conference concluded this afternoon at the SSSIHL Auditorium in Prasanthi Nilayam. Resolutions emerged out of the Conference were read out in the ‘grand-finale’ function held at the Sai Kulwant Hall later in the evening. This was followed by International Sai Bhajans by representatives from over 20 countries.
The session in the evening commenced at 1700 hrs with an address by Dr Jack Feely, Co-Chairman, Sri Sathya Sai International Disaster Risk Committee, and also National Council President of SSIO, USA, presenting an overview of the Conference followed by the resolutions emerged thereon.
Main areas of focus of the three-day Conference were, Role of SSIO, Personal Sadhana, Bhagawan’s Teachings and Stories of Personal Transformations. The Conference on the theme, “Love Is The Source, Love Is The Path, Love Is The Goal” had talks, workshops, video shows and musical offerings.
Thirty-two items of resolutions in eight different areas of operation were presented at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet. The areas identified were Ideal Sathya Sai Centre, Leadership at SSIO, Educational Programmes, Role of Women, Role of Youth, Balancing Family, Career and SSIO, Public Outreach and Effective and Loving Communication in SSIO and Selfless Service.
Interestingly one of the resolutions in the final item, in the area of Selfless Service, is a recommendation in efforts to protect dear Mother Earth that included enhancement of group prayers.
Dr Jack Feely also acknowledged grateful thanks to various segments, SSSCT, SSSIHL, International Volunteers, Sai International Youth for unconditional support and cooperation in various areas of activities.
International Sai Bhajans next was followed by bhajans by students. The session ended with Mangala Arathi at 1820 hrs.
