Celebrating the twin occasions of holy Deepavali and auspicious Gujarati New Year, devotees from the State of Gujarat presented an evening percussion-beauty today here, in Prasanthi Nilayam.
The programme titled, Journey Of Rhythm, had ten percussion in the fray, first playing individually only to merge together playing in tandem producing scintillating musical rhythm, much similar to the man's spiritual journey that advocates Unity In Diversity. The percussion's for the evening included some from the classical and semi-classical background, with both Hindustani and Carnatic.
instruments taking the lead. The theme of the programme was Be United, Stay United and Feel The Divinity. The programme was offered by the Youth of Vadodara in coordination with the faculty of performing art, MS University, Vadodara.
A mini-dance ballet on the life of Lord Sri Rama followed next, done by the Balvikas children from Navasari.
Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
